Exploring Biblical Theology

 

  1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This preparatory course will offer a clear and concise overview of systematic theology, providing a foundational understanding of key Christian doctrines. Designed for growing leaders and those seeking to deepen their faith, the course explores essential topics such as the nature of God, Christology, Soteriology, Scripture, and the role of the church. Participants will learn how these doctrines interconnect and influence Christian life and practice, all in a straightforward and approachable manner. Through interactive discussions and practical examples this course will equips students with a framework for understanding theology systematically and applying it to their everyday faith journey.

 

  1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course will help students to develop a stronger doctrinal foundation on Christian theology that should strengthen and support their Christian walk.

 

  • COURSE REQUIREMENTS
  •      Reading assignment: Waterhouse W. Steven, Not by Bread Alone an Outline Guide to         Bible Doctrine, Westcliff Press, 2007. (This is a 578-page resource book that does not

          need to be read for the class, but used as a resource for theological research for the

           student and an addition to their private library). This book can help with you with the

           “post-class assignment” below.

    • Post-class assignment: The student should pick one of the biblical doctrines

    discussed in class, that peaks their interest, and do further study on that biblical doctrine.

    From their study of the biblical doctrine 1) develop either a three-part sermon series on

    the doctrine, OR 2) write a two-page single spaced paper explaining the doctrine. All

    references must be cited.

    • Attendance: Your attendance is required for thepersonal class work and teaching
