BL204 – Evangelism Strategies – Winter 2018 Course Overview

We are excited about our Winter term course on Evangelism.  No matter how long we have been Believers, we can always develop and hone our skills in fulfilling the Great Commission. We are blessed to have three different professors to share their knowledge with us for this term.

     .  Dr. Lee Pigg, President of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and Senior Pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe, N.C.

     .   Dr. Michael Madaris, Senior Pastor of Highland Baptist Church in New London, NC

Each of these gifted men of God will cover a different topic in evangelism; below you’ll find a schedule for the upcoming course on evangelism.

8:00- 8:15—Intro and devotion (Jeff Smith)

8:15-10:15—Engaging the culture (Dr. Lee Pigg)

10:25-12:25—Competence and confidence in evangelism (Josh Reed)

12:30-1:30—Lunch and Fellowship

1:30-3:30—Cross cultural evangelism (Dr. Michael Madaris)

3:40-4:00—Wrap up (Jeff Smith)

There is only one textbook required for this course: Evangelism Handbook: Biblical, Spiritual, Missional  by Alvin Reid with a Foreword by Thom S Rainer published by B&H academic, 2009
